Biographical Sketch: Dr. Wayne Batchelor currently serves as President of the Medicine Service Line at the Inova Health System and adjunct Professor of Medicine at the Duke University School of Medicine. Dr. Batchelor is an interventional cardiologist with interest and expertise in structural heart disease, complex/high risk PCI, cardiogenic shock, health care disparities in cardiovascular medicine and clinical trials in interventional cardiology. He has published over 300 peer-reviewed original abstracts/manuscripts and book chapters and has given numerous invited lectures nationally and internationally. He serves on JSCAI Editorial Board, the SCAI Vascular Disease Council and the SCAI Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee and has other numerous leadership roles within interventional cardiology both at the local and national level.
