Biographical Sketch: Dr. James Johnson, MD graduated from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS) this spring and will begin internal medicine residency in the Mount Sinai Hospital-ISMMS program this summer. He currently conducts clinical research in Dr. Roxana Mehran's lab in the Center for Interventional Cardiovascular Research and Clinical Trials at Mount Sinai. Previously, he worked for two years at the NIH as an Intramural Research Training Award recipient, conducting translational research focused on beta adrenergic activation of brown adipose tissue in the lab of Dr. Aaron Cypess. He graduated with a bachelors of science and distinction in biology from Duke University in 2017 with minors in french and chemistry.
