Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Njambi Mathenge is a burgeoning interventional cardiologist and global cardiologist, clinical researcher, empowerment & equity advocate, and a self-described community builder at heart. She is an interventional cardiology fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School and an incoming advanced fellow in the complex, high-risk interventional procedures and chronic total occlusions (CHIP/CTO) program at Mass General Brigham. She received her medical degree with honors at St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, completed residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, a Master of Public Health degree at the Rutgers School of Public Health, and fellowship in general cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Mathenge is passionate about bridging access to cardiovascular care both locally and globally, and her ongoing collaborative work aims to expand initiatives focused on meeting the unique, and rapidly evolving, needs of patients with complex coronary artery disease.
