Biographical Sketch: Azeem Latib is the Medical Director of Structural Heart Interventions at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. He has published over 550 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals and numerous book chapters. He is a reviewer and associate editor for numerous high-impact cardiology journals. His interests and experience lie in complex coronary interventions, structural heart disease and new device innovation. He is actively involved in pre-clinical animal work for coronary and structural interventions and has also performed a number of first-in-man procedures, especially in the field of transcatheter mitral and tricuspid interventions. He is the principal investigator in numerous First-in-Man, CE-mark and international multi-centre studies both in coronary and structural interventions. Dr Latib is a leading expert in complex coronary interventions as well as transcatheter aortic, mitral and tricuspid interventions.
