Wacin Buddhari, MD

Biographical Sketch: Dr. Buddhari is the current President of the Cardiovascular Intervention Association of Thailand (CIAT). He received his MD degree from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand, and went on to complete Internal Medicine residency, Cardiology Fellowship and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA, USA. He returned to Thailand in 1997 and has become the Director of Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, Cardiac Center, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital since then. Among many of his accomplishments, structuring formal interventional cardiology fellowship board certification, initiating Thai PCI registry and being part of the founding members of CIAT are some of the major contribution Dr. Buddhari has made for the field of interventional cardiology in Thailand. His main interests are pharmacological and interventional management of acute coronary syndromes and transcatheter aortic valve implantation.
