Biographical Sketch: Katharine L. McGinigle, MD MPH FACS FSVS, is an Associate Professor of Surgery and practicing vascular surgeon with special clinical and research interests in chronic limb threatening ischemia (CLTI). Her research applies precision medicine to define adaptive treatment strategies for patients with CLTI and to address healthcare disparities facing this patient population. She has participated in several clinical trials, including the BEST CLI Trial and the BEST-CLI Registry. She has leadership roles in many societies: she is the chair of the SVS Enhanced Recovery Working Group and a member of the Document Oversight Committee, the Pain Management Task Force, and the Public Health Task Force. She also serves on the Governing Council of the SVS Vascular Quality Initiative and am the Medical Director of the Carolinas Vascular Quality Group. She is an Executive Council member for the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery Society and serves as chair of their Research Committee.
