Dinu V Balanescu, MD

Biographical Sketch: Dr. Balanescu (@dinubalanescu) is a rising Cardiology fellow at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and current chief medical resident at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI. He completed medical school in his native country of Romania, followed by a 1-year research fellowship in cardio-oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. His main academic interests include immunotherapy-induced cardiotoxicity, multimodality imaging in cancer patients with cardiomyopathy and cardiac tumors, escalation of care therapies in pulmonary embolism, and cardiac catheterization in cancer patients with thrombocytopenia.
