Biographical Sketch: Dr. Kobayashi is an interventional cardiologist at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. His primary interests include complex coronary artery interventions, pulmonary embolism response team, peripheral arterial interventions, transcatheter aortic valve replacements. His research is primarily focused on social and economic disparities in the delivery of care both in the civilian sector and in the veterans affairs sector. On a personal note, he is a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy Reserve and is the only interventional cardiology reservist currently in the Navy.
