Biographical Sketch: Sarah K. Gualano, MD, MBA, is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, Associate Vice Chair for Diversity, Equity and Well-being for the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan. Dr. Gualano also serves as Associate Section Chief of Cardiology at the LTC Charles S. Kettles VA Ann Arbor Health System. Dr. Gualano’s clinical interests are coronary and structural heart disease, with a focus on regional care for the veteran population. Outside the cath lab, her administrative and academic interests include gender equity in medicine and physician well-being, and their relationship to the clinical enterprise at an academic medical center. Dr. Gualano was recently selected to participate in the prestigious Rudi Ansbacher Women in Academic Medicine Leadership Scholars Program.
