Biographical Sketch: Ranya Sweis, MD, MS is an attending interventional cardiologist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Clinical Practice Director at the Northwestern Medicine Cardiology Outpatient Clinic, and an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Northwestern Univeristy's Feinberg School of Medicine. Her clinical interests include interventional therapies for coronary artery disease and valvular and structural heart disease as well as cardiac critical care. Her research interests include focus on outcomes of cardiovascular interventions, clinical trials of new devices and methods for procedure training using simulation programs.
Dr. Sweis is board certified in cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology.
After graduating from the Duke University School of Medicine in 2002, Dr. Sweis pursued internship and residency training in the combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency program at the University of Michigan. She completed her general and interventional cardiovascular fellowship training, as well as a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation degree at Northwestern University.
