Biographical Sketch:
Mohammad Madjid, MD, MS, FAHA, FACC, FSCAI is an Interventional Cardiologist and Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He has studied internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, and cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology at Texas Heart Institute/St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, also in Houston, TX. He has received his Master of Science degree in Clinical Research from the Center for Clinical Research & Evidence-Based Medicine at McGovern Medical School, University of Texas at Houston Health Science Center. He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, interventional cardiology, adult echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. His research and clinical interests focus on atherosclerosis, vascular inflammation, and the effect of influenza and COVID-19 infections on the cardiovascular system.
