Biographical Sketch: Dr. Katherine Kunkel is an interventional cardiologist at the Piedmont Heart Institute in Atlanta, Georgia. She specializies in complex, high-risk indicated percutaneous coronary intervention including chronic total occlusion percutaneous coronary intervention. She previously completed training in interventional cardiology with advanced training in structural heart interventions at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and a fellowship in complex, high-risk indicated percutaneous intervention and advanced hemodynamic care at Henry Ford Hospital. Her interests are the management of complex coronary artery disease, chronic total occlusions, and cardiogenic shock.
