Biographical Sketch: Dr. Arash Salavitabar is a Congenital Interventional Cardiologist at Nationwide Children's Hospital and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University. Dr. Salavitabar is a Fellow of SCAI, Co-Chair of the SCAI Congenital Heart Disease Council, and a member of the SCAI Standards and Guidelines Committee. Dr. Salavitabar's main clinical interests include therapeutic percutaneous interventions to treat children and adults with congenital and acquired heart disease. This has led to his ongoing research interests, which are closely integrated into his clinical care, and include the development and investigation of Extended Reality technologies, 3D rotational angiography, implantable hemodynamic monitoring devices, procedural simulation, and development of transcatheter devices.
