Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Jacqueline Saw is an Interventional Cardiologist at Vancouver General Hospital and St Paul’s Hospital, Clinical Professor of Medicine at UBC, and Program Director of the VGH Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program. She served as Head of VGH Cardiology Clinical Trials Research. She is an active physician proctor for LAA closure with WATCHMAN and ACP/Amulet devices, and is PI/co-PI of multiple LAA closure studies (ASAP-TOO, Canadian WATCHMAN Registry, Canadian ACP/Amulet Registry). Dr. Saw is also a pioneer in research and management of spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) and is the PI of the Canadian SCAD Study, CanSCAD 3000 Study, Canadian SCAD Genetic Study, PRYME, NACAD, and SAFER-SCAD studies. She has co-authored over 300 peer-reviewed publications, including scientific research manuscripts, review papers, book chapters and abstracts, and is also the editor of three textbooks on LAA closure and carotid artery stenting.
