Biographical Sketch:
Andrew Unzeitig, M.D., earned his bachelor's degree from Stanford University and his medical degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. He completed his internship and residency in general surgery and fellowship in vascular surgery at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Prior to joining Piedmont, Dr. Unzeitig was completing his fellowship and serving as an assistant instructor in the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. A board-certified surgeon, his special interests include diseases of the aorta, especially endovascular aortic repair (EVAR), fenestrated EVAR, thoracic EVAR, carotid endarterectomy, carotid artery stenting, and peripheral artery disease including operative and endovascular revascularization. He is a staff vascular surgeon at Piedmont Heart Institute in Atlanta, GA. Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the Society for Vascular Surgery, the Southern Association of Vascular Surgery, and councilmember of Georgia Vascular Society
