Biographical Sketch: Dr. Tilak K. R. Pasala, MD is the Interim Director of Structural and Congenital Heart Center at Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack, NJ. He is also the Program Director of the Structural Heart Disease (SHD) Fellowship Program. After completion of his interventional cardiology fellowship from the University of Utah (Salt Lake City, Utah), he pursued further sub-specialization and became one of the few in the country to have completed a two-year dedicated specialized fellowship in SHD. His leadership roles include optimizing clinical and administrative efficeincy goals, overseeing quality metrics, and procurement of cutting-edge research trials. Dr. Pasala is passionate about research and has co-authored over 12 book chapters and multiple peer-reviewed articles. His current research interest includes Echo and CT Fusion for SHD interventions.
