Biographical Sketch:
Robert A. Quaife MD: Director, Advanced Cardiac Imaging. Endowed Chair of Advanced Cardiac Imaging & Image Guidance at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. A Cardiovascular clinician-scientist with experience in cardiac imaging over 35 years. Credentials include Board Certifications in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Nuclear Medicine and sub-specialty certifications in Echocardiography, cardiac CT and cardiac CT. Mentorship of 20 Fellows in Cardiac Imaging his career. Most recent investigative interests include using and integrating tomographic CT and MR imaging into pre-planning and image guidance of structural heart disease interventions. The multi-modality cardiac image background provides the bases for integration and fusion of image modalities into a single method to improve guidance of technically challenging mitral and tricuspid interventions, TAVR, congenital heart disease and peri-valvular leak closures. Fusion of 3D transesophogeal echocardiography and fluoroscopy are key areas of development and investigation at the University of Colorado.
