Biographical Sketch:
Kris Kumar is an Interventional Cardiology Fellow at the University of California, San Diego. He completed his Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the Knight Cardiovascular Institute at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. Kris completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona where he stayed for an additional year as a junior faculty member in the Department of Medicine and Chief Resident. He completed his medical school at Midwestern University. Prior to medical training, he worked in biotechnology in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. He obtained his B.S. in Human Biology and M.S. in Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics from the University of California, San Diego. Following completion of his interventional cardiology training, he will be pursuing further subspecialty fellowship in structural heart disease, complex coronary and peripheral interventions at the University of California, San Diego.
