Biographical Sketch: James Lee is Medical Director of Echocardiography and Structural Heart Imaging at Henry Ford Hospital and the Henry Ford Medical Group, Program Director for the Structural Heart Disease (SHD) Imaging Fellowship, and Rotation Director for Echocardiography and Structural Heart Imaging. Dr. Lee earned his medical degree from Wayne State University and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Emory University. He then pursued advanced imaging fellowships in cardiovascular CT/MRI at Piedmont Heart Institute and in general cardiology and interventional echocardiography at the University of Washington. His clinical and research interests focus on multimodality structural and interventional imaging, with an emphasis on advanced imaging techniques. He has co-authored multiple book chapters and articles on valvular heart disease and is a co-author of the 2017 ACC Expert Consensus Decision Pathway for Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement. Dr. Lee is a former member of the ACC Imaging Council, where he led the SHD Imaging Workgroup.
