Biographical Sketch: For the past decade, Joel Sauer has been traveling around the country providing consultative services to cardiovascular organizations to accelerate the transition to value. A significant concentration area has been in the creation of contemporary and effective physician/hospital partnership structures, sometimes utilizing integration or at times contractual and organizational arrangements. His work has included full service line development, including governance & leadership development, to targeted co-management programs. Joel’s expertise includes vision and strategy setting, cultural & operational integration, and physician compensation plan design that promotes the vision and objectives of the organization. A recognized national resource in cardiovascular physician compensation, Joel is author of the annual MedAxiom Provider Compensation & Production Survey and has expertise in provider workforce planning and development.
