Biographical Sketch: Dr. Torres earned his medical degree from University Nacional de Córdoba, Argentina. He completed a five-year adult cardiology fellowship at Hospital de Comunidad, Mar del Plata, Argentina. He came to the US in 1996 where completed a Pediatric Residency at the Medical College of Virginia, Pediatric Cardiology fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in NY and a one-year Cardiac Catheterization Fellowship at Children's Hospital of New-York, Columbia University Medical Center. Dr Torres has performed interventional procedures all over te world, including the Dominican Republic, Romania, Greece, Cambodia, Senegal, India and China. He has been on faculty at Columbia University Medical Center since 2003. He has been the Director of the Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization Labs at Columbia since 2015. He is board certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Cardiology and Adult Congenital Heart Disease.
