Biographical Sketch: Triston Smith MD,FSCAI is the Medical Director, Cardiovascular Service Line and Director of Structural Heart Interventions at Trinity Health System, CommonSpirit Health, in Steubenville Ohio. He received his medical degree from El Instituto Superior De Ciencias Medicas Villa Clara, Cuba. Dr. Smith completed his internal medicine residency, Cardiology fellowship and Interventional Cardiology training at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh PA where he also served as the Chief Fellow. Dr. Smith's clinical and research interests are centered around structural heart and CHIP interventions. He is a member of SCAI's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee where he advocates for decreasing healthcare disparities and promotes policies geared towards promoting equity and inclusion as fundamental pillars of providing quality health care.
