Biographical Sketch:
Jonathan G. Schwartz, MD, FACC, FSCAI is a structural and interventional cardiologist at Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute/Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC. Jonathan holds a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University, and a medical degree from the University of Minnesota. He completed residency & chief residency in IM at the University of Colorado. He pursued training in Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology at the Stanford University School of Medicine, also serving as Chief Fellow. Additionally, he is an alum of the Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign Innovation Fellowship program. He then completed Advanced Adult Structural and Congenital Heart Disease Interventions fellowship at the Minneapolis Heart Institute. His interests include novel percutaneous and minimally invasive structural heart disease interventions, as well as device development and innovation. He serves as the local primary investigator for multiple active clinical trials, and as a proctor and advisory board member for multiple device companies.
