Biographical Sketch:
Dr Stéphane Rinfret is professor of Medicine at EMORY University and associate-director of complex PCI at Emory Heart and Vascular in Atlanta. He has published over 160 peer-reviewed articles and has been invited over 300 times to give lectures in the past 10 years. His epidemiological research focuses on health services and outcomes. He is also a high-volume coronary operator, performing over 300 PCI/year, with a large volume of chronic total occlusion (CTO) and Complex Higher-risk but Indicated Procedures (CHIP) . He is the lead editor of a textbook on CTO PCI published by Springer in 2015 and re-edited this year, and is the founder and one of the co-directors of the Multi-Level CTO (MLCTO) course, the largest CTO course in Europe. He pursues very active clinical, research and teaching activities.
