Biographical Sketch: Celina Yong, MD, MBA, MSc is Director of Interventional Cardiology at the VA Palo Alto Medical Center and an Assistant Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine. As a Marshall Scholar, she completed a Masters in Health Policy, Planning and Financing from the London School of Economics and an MBA from Oxford. Dr. Yong completed her internal medicine residency at UCSF and general and interventional cardiology fellowships at Stanford.
Dr. Yong is a practicing interventionalist, specializing in complex coronary and structural interventions. She also leads research in health outcomes and health services, and is actively involved in clinical trials. Her research focuses on understanding inequities in cardiovascular care and using scalable technologies to resolve disparities among vulnerable patient populations.
