Biographical Sketch:
Ruchira Garg, MD, FACC, FASE is Director of Congenital Non-invasive Cardiology and Associate Director of the Guerin Family Congenital Heart Program at Cedars-Sinai's Heart Institute. Dr. Garg has been invited to lecture and has written numerous articles and abstracts on pediatric heart disease and cardiac MRI. Dr. Garg graduated from The Medical College of Pennsylvania, Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins, Baltimore, then pediatric cardiology fellowship at Nationwide Children’s, Columbus and finally a senior fellowship in non-invasive imaging: Cardiac MRI, echocardiography, including fetal and transesophageal echocardiography at Boston Children’s Hospital. After training, Dr. Garg established a cardiac MRI programs at The Children’s Hospital, Denver Miami Children's Hospital and Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando. At Cedars-Sinai she oversees a busy and growing fetal practice, continues to perform peri-procedural echocardiography and MRI. In addition, she is involved in numerous multicenter research trials.
