Biographical Sketch: Dr. Arena is a practicing cardiac and peripheral interventionalist in the New Orleans area. He graduated with degrees in biology and sociology from Tulane University and Medical School at LSU-New Orleans. He was the winner of the 1991 ACP national research award. He went on to finish his general cardiology fellowship at UC Davis and his interventional Cardiology at the Cardiovascular Institute of the South. He is presently board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology and was Testamur in Echocardiography. He is the Author of several papers and has spoken at numerous national meetings including the ACC convention and NCVH. He presently serves on the vascular disease council for the SCAI.
