Biographical Sketch: Dr. Klein is Clinical Professor of Medicine, University of California, San Francisco. He has led efforts within the profession to improve catheterization laboratory shielding and design to lessen the risk of occupational injury. The author of over 500 publications and editor of four books, Dr. Klein has served on the editorial boards of the American Journal of Cardiology, the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, and Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions. He was section editor for Acute Coronary Syndromes for the Journal of Invasive Cardiology, and currently serves as assistant editor for Plaque Composition and Dynamics. He has been a chair or member of several national and state committees of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, and the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions.
