Biographical Sketch: Daniel M. Kolansky MD, FACC, FSCAI is an Interventional Cardiologist and Professor of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, Director of the Cardiac Care Unit, and Associate Chief for Clinical Affairs for the Cardiovascular Division at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated from Stanford University and Yale School of Medicine. He completed Internship, Residency, and Fellowship in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He has contributed to the development of the SCAI Core Curriculum in quality assessment for Interventional Fellowship Training programs and to SCAI Expert Consensus Statements on Best Practices in the Cath Lab and on Length of Stay following PCI. He has published widely on numerous topics in interventional cardiology. He was a 2021 - 2024 member of the SCAI Board of Trustees. He is a Board Director for the American Board of Cardiovascular Medicine.
