Biographical Sketch:
Michel T. Corban, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is an Interventional Cardiologist at Banner University Medical Center Tucson, and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine Tucson, AZ. He received his MD degree from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon, completed his postdoctoral interventional cardiology research fellowship and internal medicine residency at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, followed by cardiovascular diseases, interventional cardiology, and structural heart disease fellowships at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr. Corban’s research focuses on coronary physiology and intravascular imaging, coronary endothelial and microvascular dysfunction, myocardial bridging, and atherosclerotic plaque progression and vulnerability. Dr. Corban is recipient of 2019 Mayo Clinic Outstanding Research Fellow Award and a 2021 American College of Cardiology Young Investigator Award Finalist for Clinical Trials. He has authored >50 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters and serves as Associate Editor and peer reviewer for multiple high impact cardiology journals.
