Biographical Sketch:
S. Elissa Altin, MD, FSCAI; Yale University. I am an academic interventional cardiologist with a focus on peripheral vascular interventions. My specific interests are in management and treatment of chronic limb threatening ischemia as well as implementation of appropriate medical therapy inclusive of supervised exercise therapy in the treatment of claudicants and the use of telemedicine to expand vascular care for underserved patients with a combination of referral to in-person revascularization and remote vascular care inclusive of home-based supervised exercise therapy in addition to best medical therapy. My clinical practice is comprised of a VA population of patients with PAD. I serve as the director of interventional cardiology clinical research at Yale University, direct the Yale Cardiovascular Research Group vascular core lab, and head the cardiology telehealth service at VA Connecticut.
