Biographical Sketch: Eric A. Secemsky, MD, MSc, RPVI, FACC, FSCAI, FSVM is the Director of Vascular Intervention in the CardioVascular Institute at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He is also the Director of Vascular Research at the Smith Center for Outcomes Research in Cardiology at BIDMC. Dr. Secemsky's clinical training is in interventional cardiology, vascular intervention and vascular medicine. He dedicates a large portion of his time to clinical research, which is funded by the NIH/NHLI, Harvard Medical School, philanthropy and extramural grants. Dr. Secemsky's research focuses on the comparative effectiveness of coronary and vascular therapies, with an emphasis on the use of novel statistical methods. He has authored more than 70 peer-reviewed publications, has presented at numerous national and international conferences, and currently serves as an Assistant Editor of Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions and Associated Editor of Vascular Medicine.
