Biographical Sketch: Daniel M. Kolansky MD, FACC, FSCAI is Professor of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, Director of the Cardiac Care Unit, and Associate Chief for Clinical Affairs for the Cardiovascular Division at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Stanford University and Yale School of Medicine. He completed Internship, Residency, and Fellowship in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He has a long interest in quality metrics in Interventional Cardiology, and has contributed to the development of the SCAI Core Curriculum in quality assessment for Interventional Fellowship Training programs as well as to SCAI Expert Consensus Statements on Best Practices in the Cath Lab and on Length of Stay following PCI. He has published widely on numerous topics in interventional cardiology. He is a 2021 - 2024 member of the SCAI Board of Trustees.
