Biographical Sketch:
Joseph A. Paolillo, MD, FACC, FSCAI, FAAP is the director of the Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization Program and Vice Chief of Pediatric Cardiology at the Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute (SHVI) / Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte, NC. He completed his pediatric residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, and trained in Pediatric Cardiology at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh with a 4th year in Interventional Cardiac Catheterization at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He spent 8 years as the Director of the Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization Program at the University of Florida, where he had an active role in fellow training and clinical research in the Colleges of Biomedical Engineering and Veterinary medicine. His clinical interest is interventional therapies for congenital heart defects. With an active cardiac catheterization practice, he has been involved in the Pivotal and Continued Access investigations of the GoreĀ® Cardioform Septal and Gore CardioformĀ® ASD Occluders.
