Biographical Sketch:
Tamim Nazif, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, the Director of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program, the Director of Research for the Center for Interventional Vascular Therapy, and the Director of Clinical Services for the Structural Heart & Valve Center. Dr. Nazif graduated from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of California San Francisco, and pursued fellowship training in cardiology, interventional cardiology, and structural heart diseases at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Dr. Nazif specializes in interventional cardiology and has clinical expertise in percutaneous coronary interventions and transcatheter therapies for structural heart diseases. His specific research interests include the prediction and prevention of complications of transcatheter valve interventions, including cardiac conduction disturbances, arrhythmias, and stroke.
