Biographical Sketch: As the Director of the Structural Heart Program and Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, Dr. Ruby Satpathy is passionate about providing the latest and most effective therapies for her patients. She performed Omaha's first trans catheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) procedure in 2012 and Nebraska's first percutaneous mitral valve repair in 2014. She was appointed as the National Director of Trans catheter Valve Therapy for all CHI hospitals in 2014.
She joined Baptist Health in early 2016 as the Director of Structural Heart Program and performed the first Mitral Clip surgery and first minimally invasive TAVR surgery (with twilight sleep and magic stitch) in Jacksonville later that year. SH and CV program has had excellent growth under her leadership to be the most comprehensive CV/SH program in NE Florida and SE Georgia . She was recently appointed to be the Chairman of the Board for Division of Cardiology at Baptist.
