Biographical Sketch:
Eric A. Secemsky, MD, MSc, RPVI, FACC, FSVM is the Director of Vascular Intervention in the CardioVascular Institute at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He is also an Investigator in the Smith Center for Outcomes Research in Cardiology at BIDMC. Dr. Secemsky's clinical training is in interventional cardiology, vascular intervention and vascular medicine. He dedicates a large portion of his time to clinical research, where leads the vascular research program at the Smith Center. Dr. Secemsky's research focuses on the comparative effectiveness of coronary and vascular therapies, with an emphasis on the use of novel statistical methods. He has authored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications, has presented at numerous national conferences, and currently serves as an Assistant Editor of Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions.
