Biographical Sketch: Dr. Sandeep Nathan is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Chicago Medical Center where he serves as Medical Director of the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, Co-Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Director of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program. He completed his General and Interventional Cardiology fellowships at Rush Presbyterian St. Lukes Medical Center where he remained on faculty for several years. He received his Master of Science Degree in Clinical Research from Rush Graduate College. His clinical interests include complex coronary intervention, transradial technique, coronary and peripheral chronic total occlusion revascularization, percutaneous mechanical circulatory support and TAVR. His research interests include platelet biology, vascular thrombosis, complex PCI, intravascular imaging, and mechanical circulatory support. Dr. Nathan has authored nearly 100 original scientific manuscripts, textbook chapters, review articles and short scientific communications. He currently serves as an investigator for numerous investigator-initiated and sponsored multicenter clinical trials.
