Biographical Sketch: Dr. Amir Lerman received his M.D. at Israel’s Technion, Institute of Technology, School of Medicine. He completed an internship at Rambam Medical Center in Israel and an internship in internal medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Subsequently, completed a residency in internal medicine at Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education & fellowships in cardiovascular diseases & invasive cardiology at Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Lerman is a consultant in Division of Ischemic Heart Disease and Critical Care, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. Dr. Lerman also serves as director of the Cardiovascular Research Center; the Center for Coronary Physiology and Imaging; and the Chest Pain and Coronary Physiology Clinic. He joined the staff of Mayo Clinic in 1994 and holds the academic rank of professor of medicine, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. He is recognized with the distinction of the Barbara Woodward Lips Professorship.
