Biographical Sketch: Dr. Andres Pineda is an Interventional Cardiologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine at University of Florida College of Medicine Jacksonville. Dr. Pineda completed interventional cardiology fellowship at the Columbia University Division of Cardiology in Mount Sinai Medical Center and advanced structural interventional cardiology fellowship at Duke University Hospital. His clinical interests include TAVR, transcatheter mitral valve repair, transcatheter tricuspid valve repair, left atrial appendage occlusion, device defect closure, coronary atherectomy and other complex coronary interventions. Dr. Pineda is an active member of the SCAI continuing medical education oversight committee and the NCDR CathPCI research and publications committee. His research focuses on valvular and structural heart disease. He has contributed with multiple peer-reviewed publications and book chapters.
