Biographical Sketch: Dr. Bhatheja is an Interventional Cardiologist, board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology. He has special interests in high risk coronary interventions, peripheral vascular disease including carotid diseases (carotid stenting for stroke prevention), Atrial Septal Defect/Patent Foramen Ovale (ASD/PFO) closures, and Percutaneous management of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) & Acute Pulmonary Embolism (Acute PE).
He currently serves as Chairman for the Florida Hospital System Department of Cardiology and is the Physician Leader of Cardiovascular Research at Florida Hospital. He has led and participated in a multitude of clinical trials and research for the betterment of the medical community and patient care. He has also written and contributed to a number of published works on the subject of cardiovascular disease, treatment and prevention.
