Biographical Sketch:
Daniel S. Levi, MD is an Interventional Pediatric Cardiologist who has served on the UCLA School of Medicine faculty since 2003. His primary clinical role involves the use of catheters and devices to help children with congenital heart disease. He is also the director of the adult congenital interventional catheterization program and director of the fellowship program in pediatric cardiology, and is a member of the pediatric heart transplantation team. Dr. Levi earned his B.S. in Biology from Stanford (1992) and his M.D. from UCSF (1997). He was in the Medical Scientist Training Program at UCSF from 1992-1995. Dr Levi completed his pediatric cardiology fellowship and pediatric interventional cardiology sub-specialization at UCLA. His laboratory research centers on the development of novel pediatric stents made from "smart" materials and biodegradable materials.
