Biographical Sketch: Richard Towbin, M.D, Former Radiologist-in-Chief at Phoenix Children's Hospital, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Honored with Fellowships by the American College of Radiology, American Academy of Pediatrics, Society of Interventional Radiology and Society of Gastrointestinal Radiology. Pediatrician and Pediatric Radiologist with subspecialty expertise in Pediatric IR and Pediatric Neuroradiology. Professor of Radiology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and University of Arizona. Past president of the Society for Pediatric Radiology and Treasurer of Society of Interventional Radiology. Voted the Arizona Physician of the year. Author of Pediatric Interventional Radiology, the first full text in the field, over 230 peer reviewed publications, numerous book chapters and exhibits. Founding member of the Society of Pediatric Interventional Radiology and Pediatric Neuroradiology. Winner of numerous academic awards. Numerous invited lecture nationally and internationally.
