Biographical Sketch: Dr. Mankad is board certified in Internal Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, and Echocardiography. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Chest Physicians, and the American Society of Echocardiography. He is a member of the Division of Cardiovascular Disease at Mayo Clinic, Rochester. He currently is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and serves as Director of Transesophageal Echocardiography. He has served on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Echocardiography from 2013-2016 and was the program Chair of the American Society of Echocardiography Scientific Sessions in 2018. He has published more than 100 scientific manuscript and numerous teaching awards including the 2016 Richard Popp Excellence in Teaching Award from the American Society of Echocardigraphy. His research interests include post-infarction left ventricular remodeling, three-dimensional echocardiography, valvular heart disease, and new technologies in echocardiography.
