Biographical Sketch: Peggy McElgunn has over twenty five years of experience working with nonprofit trade associations and professional societies, including the Alliance of Cardiovascular Professionals. She has held positions at all levels and managing all aspects of nonprofit work. Ms. McElgunn’s success has been due not only to her creativity but also to successful support and recognition of the volunteers with whom she has worked.
Ms. McElgunn's legal background includes lobbing on behalf of over 180 clients at a large DC law firm. She also has managed the legal and government affairs for over twenty two trade associations and professional societies.
Ms. McElgunn holds a BA in Political Science from University of Rochester where she received a Certificate in International Relations simultaneously and a JD degree from George Mason University. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar and licensed in all Virginia State Courts and Courts in the Fourth District.
