Biographical Sketch:
Andrew M. Goldsweig, MD, FACC, FSCAI, RPVI is an assistant professor of interventional cardiology and associate director for structural heart disease at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), where he initiated and directs the LAA occlusion and PFO closure programs and performs TAVR and TMVr in addition to coronary and peripheral interventions. His research interests include radiation hazards in interventional procedures and predictors of structural heart procedural outcomes. He also currently serves as a site investigator for several clinical trials including TAVR UNLOAD, Optimize PRO, ASAP TOO, TRANSCEND, MINT, and the National Cardiogenic Shock Initiative. Andy is a member of the SCAI Structural Heart Disease Council and Advocacy Committee and is the governor-elect of the Nebraska Chapter of the ACC.
