Biographical Sketch: Kalon KL Ho, MD, MSc, FACC, FACP, FSCAI, FAHA, is the Director of Quality Assurance for the Cardiovascular Division of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, and a member of its Interventional Cardiology Section. Dr. Ho has served on the Science and Quality Oversight Committee for the National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR), the Steering Committee for the NCDR CARE Registry and PVI Registry, the Research and Publication Subcommittee for the NCDR CathPCI Registry, and the SCAI Quality Improvement Committee. He was a senior medical adviser to the Massachusetts Data Analysis Center. Dr. Ho received the F. Mason Sones Distinguished Service Award from SCAI for his work on public reporting of risk-adjusted outcomes of coronary revascularization and for designing web-based tools to assist health care providers in using the Appropriate Use Criteria for coronary revascularization and diagnostic catheterization, as well as assessing the risks for patients undergoing PCI.
