Biographical Sketch:
Prashant Kaul, MD, FACC, FSCAI is an interventional cardiologist with interests in complex coronary and peripheral vascular interventions and is the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at the Piedmont Heart Institute, Atlanta, GA. He was previously Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory & Interventional Cardiology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where he also served as Medical Director of the Chest Pain Center and Director of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Training Program. He continues as adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. His interests include the management of acute coronary syndromes, systems of care in primary PCI, trans-radial coronary angiography and complex interventions, chronic total occlusions, percutaneous ventricular support devices and quality and value based care. He has delivered over 200 lectures nationally and internationally, has published numerous manuscripts and is a member of the editorial board of Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions.
