Biographical Sketch:
William J. Nicholson, MD is an Interventional Cardiologist with Wellspan Cardiology at York Hospital in York, Pa. He is Director of the Interventional Cardiac Catheterization Lab at York Hospital as well as Director of the Complex PCI Programs for Wellspan Health. Dr. Nicholson completed his Cardiology Fellowship at Emory University Hospitals in Atlanta, Ga. While at Emory, he received an NIH/NRSA grant for basic science research. Dr. Nicholson is an expert CTO operator and, as such, is an invited guest operator and lecturer at numerous national and international conferences and hospitals. He has conducted televised courses in CTO training from York Hospital. He is Co-Investigator for numerous clinical trials and also serves as a manuscript reviewer for multiple interventional cardiology journals. His areas of clinical interest in interventional cardiology in addition to Chronic Total Occlusions include ASD/PFO closure, TAVR, Mitral Clips, and complex PCI.
