Biographical Sketch: Prof M G Azam, MD, FSCAI, is an interventional cardiologist with over 20 years of experiences in the cathlab. Dr Azam is presently the professor of cardiology in National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases & Hospital, Bangladesh. He led the field of interventional cardiology for last 20 years and has contributed extensively for the development of many scientific programs & educations. He is the author & co-author of over 50 research articles in the field of intervention.
Dr Azam has served as scientific secretary of Bangladesh Society of Cardiac Intervention and social welfare secretary of Bangladesh Cardiac Society. He is the Board of Trustee of CCN University of Science & Technology. He was also the course director & organizing secretary of SCAI complex PCI in Bangladesh 2019.
He has received several exemplary teacher/ research awards and he is the recipient of 2019 Research Award from Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh.
